The results are in!

I got my MRI results back from my doctor. He gave me a phone call and we talked for a bit. Turns out that the MRI showed my hip to be 100% normal. Perfectly fine. He went on about how healthy I looked, anatomically speaking. He could not see anything wrong.

Well, that's good news and all, but... why does my hip hurt? Why does my hip hurt even more than before the surgery?

The doctor told me to take the winter and just do a light work out to see how my hip would feel. Biking, swimming, very low impact exercises. He told me to "Show that hip who's boss!"

Well, since my MRI turned out normal my Stake President and Missionary Medical wants me to go back to school during all of this so I can keep my education going and not be at home just waiting to see what happens. So, I guess I will be going back to BYU this winter.

My Dad is seriously considering Acupuncture. Anyone have any experience/stories/comedic relief about acupuncture?

And the answer is...

Another MRI? Yup, that's it. My surgeon ordered another MRI for me today at my doctors appointment. I told him about how the pain in my hip is still there and quite a bit more painful than before surgery. He said, "Well, we know it's not in your hip." Not in my hip? Oh, okay (rolls eyes). I believe he meant that it wasn't in the anatomy of my hip but I guess it was kind of a nice way of saying "I have no idea what is wrong with you."

So... Ya. I will be getting another MRI this thursday and we will compare the new one, with the old MRI's from before surgery and see if we can come up with anything.

Back to square one.
